Software Built AI-Native From
The First Commit

Bafar Labs builds AI-native software — web applications, mobile apps, internal platforms and integrations designed to carry intelligence rather than have it retrofitted later.

The same team that ships our own AI products builds your platform. One vendor for the application and the intelligence inside it.

What We Do

Bafar Labs is a software development company that builds AI-native systems — web applications, mobile apps, internal platforms and integrations designed from the first commit to carry intelligence rather than to have it retrofitted later.

Capabilities

What We Build

Systems with real operational load and real integration surface. Not brochure sites.

Custom Software

Bespoke Business Systems

Internal platforms, operational tooling, workflow engines and back-office systems built around how your organisation actually works rather than around a product roadmap you do not control.

Web

Web Applications & SaaS

Dashboards, portals and multi-tenant SaaS platforms in Next.js and TypeScript — server-rendered, fast, accessible, and structured so search engines and AI crawlers can actually read them.

Mobile

Mobile Applications

Cross-platform iOS and Android apps in React Native, with native modules where performance demands them. Offline-first data, push, and a release cadence your team can sustain.

Integration

Systems Integration

Connecting CRM, ERP, telephony, ticketing and data warehouses so they exchange data reliably — including when one of them is down. Usually the largest part of an enterprise project.

Platform

APIs & Platform Engineering

Service architecture, API design, event pipelines and the infrastructure beneath them. Built to be operated by your team, with the observability to diagnose it at three in the morning.

Product

MVP & Product Engineering

Taking a product from concept to a first release that produces real evidence — narrow in scope, complete in quality, instrumented so the next decision is informed by data.

The Difference

Why an AI Studio Instead of a Development Agency

A fair question, and the honest answer is not that we write better loops. It is what we build into the foundations while writing them.

01

We ship our own products

HiringPartner.ai is not a case study we bought — it is a full product we operate: dashboards, ATS integrations, telephony, video interviewing and a backend under real load. The engineering standard we apply to your system is the one we hold ourselves to.

02

AI-ready from the first commit

Most software built today will need AI features within two years. Retrofitting them is expensive because the data model, permissions and event flow were never designed for it. We design for it up front, whether or not you activate it now.

03

One team, not two vendors

The common failure is an agency building the application and a separate firm bolting AI on afterwards, with the integration falling in the gap. Here the people who built the voice agent are the people who built the dashboard it reports into.

04

Engineering rigour, not velocity theatre

Typed end to end, tested in CI, deployed through a pipeline, instrumented in production. Where AI is involved, an evaluation harness runs on every change so a quality regression fails the build instead of reaching your users.

How We Work

Fixed Scope, Fortnightly Releases

Scope and price are fixed after definition. You see working software every two weeks in an environment you can use.

01 / Definition
Phase one

Scope, architecture and estimate

We map the workflows, the systems to integrate with, and the constraints that are non-negotiable. The output is an architecture, a fixed scope and a fixed price — not a range that widens once work begins.

  • Technical architecture
  • Fixed scope
  • Fixed price
  • Delivery plan
02 / Foundation
Phase two

Data model, auth and the first vertical slice

Schema, authentication, permissions and deployment pipeline, then one complete feature working end to end. Getting a real slice into a real environment early is what surfaces integration problems while they are still cheap.

  • Data model
  • Auth + permissions
  • CI/CD pipeline
  • First working feature
03 / Build
Fortnightly increments

Feature delivery in two-week increments

Working software every fortnight in an environment you can use, not a demo. Scope is adjusted against what the increments reveal, and AI capabilities are layered in where they earn their place rather than where they demo well.

  • Fortnightly releases
  • Staging environment
  • Integration testing
  • Documentation
04 / Launch & Operate
Ongoing

Deployment, monitoring and handover

Production deployment, load testing, monitoring and alerting, and a handover that leaves your team able to operate and extend the system. We stay on retainer where you want us to, and step back cleanly where you do not.

  • Production launch
  • Monitoring + alerts
  • Runbook
  • Team handover
Engagement Models

Three Ways to Work With Us

Scope and price are fixed after the definition phase — not estimated from a brief and revised once work begins.

MVP
Fixed scope
Timeline set at definition

A first release narrow enough to ship quickly and complete enough to learn from.

  • Architecture and design
  • Core product build
  • Deployment and monitoring
  • Instrumented for the next decision
Full Build
Fixed scope
Timeline set at definition

A production platform with real integration surface, multiple user roles and operational load.

  • Everything in MVP
  • Full systems integration
  • AI capabilities where warranted
  • Runbook and handover
Dedicated Pod
Monthly retainer
Three-month minimum

An embedded engineering team for a continuing roadmap rather than a bounded project.

  • Named engineers
  • Your sprint cadence and tools
  • Multiple workstreams
  • Scales up or down by quarter

Every build is quoted individually, because cost is driven by the integration surface, the number of user roles and the state of any existing system — not by a standard rate card.

Technology

The Stack We Build On

The same stack this website and every product we operate runs on. We will work in yours where you have one.

Frontend
Next.js, React and TypeScript with server-side rendering. Tailwind for layout. Accessible, fast, and readable by crawlers that do not execute JavaScript.
Mobile
React Native for cross-platform delivery from one codebase, with native Swift and Kotlin modules where performance or platform APIs require them.
Backend
Node and TypeScript, Python where the workload is ML-adjacent. REST and typed RPC, event pipelines for asynchronous work, idempotent by default.
Data
Postgres as the default system of record, with pgvector where retrieval is needed. Redis for caching and queues, object storage for files.
Infrastructure
AWS, Azure, GCP or on-premise. Containerised, deployed through CI/CD, with staging that mirrors production rather than approximating it.
Quality
Typed end to end, automated tests in CI, error tracking and structured logging in production — plus an evaluation harness wherever a model is in the path.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

01

Why hire an AI studio for ordinary software development?

Because most software built now will need AI features within two years, and retrofitting them is expensive when the data model, permissions and event flow were never designed to carry them. We build those foundations in from the start at no additional cost, and we do not have to bring in a second vendor when you decide to activate them. If your project genuinely will never touch AI, a conventional agency is a reasonable choice and we will say so.
02

What kinds of software do you build?

Custom business systems, web applications and SaaS platforms, mobile apps for iOS and Android, internal tooling, APIs and integrations, and MVPs for new products. The common thread is systems with real operational load and real integration surface, rather than brochure sites.
03

How much does custom software development cost?

Every build is quoted individually, because cost is driven by the integration surface, the number of user roles, and the state of any system being extended rather than by a standard rate card. We fix scope and price after a short definition phase, so the number you receive is the number you pay, and the delivery timeline is agreed in the same phase rather than published as a range that would not survive contact with your integration surface.
04

What technology stack do you use?

Next.js, React and TypeScript on the front end, React Native for mobile, Node and Python services behind them, and Postgres as the default system of record. This site runs on that stack, as does every product we operate. We will work in your existing stack when you have one — the constraint is that we can maintain what we ship.
05

Do you work with our existing codebase?

Yes. A substantial share of our work is extending or rescuing existing systems rather than starting fresh. We begin with an audit that reports honestly on what is worth keeping, what should be replaced, and what will cost more to maintain than to rewrite — including when that conclusion is inconvenient.
06

How do you handle projects that need AI later?

We design the data model, permission system and event flow so AI can be added without restructuring. Content is stored in a form that can be indexed and retrieved, actions emit events an agent can consume, and permissions are checked at the data layer rather than in the interface. None of that costs extra up front; retrofitting it later does.
07

Who owns the code?

You do. All source code, infrastructure configuration and documentation transfer to you on final payment, in your own repositories throughout. There is no proprietary framework you are obliged to keep paying us to maintain.
08

What happens after launch?

You choose. Some clients take full ownership at handover, which includes documentation, a runbook and a walkthrough with their engineers. Others keep us on a support retainer for maintenance, upgrades and continued feature work. Either way the system is built to be operated by someone other than us.

Tell Us What You Need Built

Two weeks of definition gives you an architecture, a fixed scope and a fixed price. If we are not the right team for the project, we will tell you that instead.
